Tilda Swinton will be in Cannes where her movie with Idris Elba “Three Thousand Years of Longing” will premiere along with “Top Gun: Maverick” starring Tom Cruise and Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” with Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. The 75th Festival De Cannes is taking place from May 17th to May 28th at Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, France.
“Three Thousand Years of Longing” is directed by George Miller, categorised as drama, fantasy and romance movie. A lonely scholar, on a trip to Istanbul, discovers a Djinn who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom. What she wants is love, but can and should he grant it to her?
The film is co-produced by Victor Hadida at Metropolitan Film Export, who will distribute in France. Sunac Culture, meanwhile, has Chinese distribution rights. Both the North American and Chinese deals were brokered by CAA Media Finance. MGM has North American rights and will distribute via its United Artists Releasing label.
