Tilda in Cannes Film Festival

Tilda Swinton is taking part in Cannes 2021 with five movies. Memoria, The French Dispatch, The Souvenir Films (part 1 & part 2) and The Storms of Jeremy Thomas – documentary.

The French Dispatch

Wes Anderson with the film cast: Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Owen Wilson, Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody and Timothee Chalamet of “The French Dispatch” that premiered on July 12th, 2021 and received a 9 minute long standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival. The Souvenir Films

Films made by Joanna Hogg in which Tilda Swinton worked with her daugher Honor Swinton Byrne. A young film student in the early 80s becomes romantically involved with a complicated and untrustworthy man. Joanna Hogg wrote the script based on her real-life experiences while attending film school in London in the early 80’s. Tilda Swinton and Hogg have been friends since they were ten years old, and Swinton witnessed Hogg’s relationship at the time. Joanna Hogg’s graduation piece Caprice starred a than unknown Tilda Swinton.

Memoria

From the extraordinary mind of Palme D’or winning director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and starring Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton, comes a bewildering drama about a Scottish woman, who, after hearing a loud ‘bang’ at daybreak, begins experiencing a mysterious sensory syndrome while traversing the jungles of Colombia.
